Central Transport Associate (patient transport) Department: Patient Transport Schedule: Full-time Shift: Hours: Job Details: * High School graduate or equivalent preferred. BLS Certification eligible within two weeks of date of employment. Must manage various attitudes of customers effectively. Must be able to work alone and/or in confined or crowded areas. Must be aware of patient's condition at all times. Must be able to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Must be able to perform shift work and weekend work if required. The Central Transport Associate is primarily responsible for the safe transport of patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair, stretcher as requested to include transport of patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, and special equipment. They are also responsible for other duties as related to department or hospital operations.
